Who tf is sex playlist?
Sex Playlist is a "punk-adjacent" group in the Sacramento scene, and we are making a name for ourselves. We just released our demo tapes, "Demos and Do-Overs" on April 1st, and we have big aspirations for whats to come.
What does "Punk Adjacent" mean? Put it this way: we aren't your traditional punk band. We aren't the Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, or Butthole Surfers. We are Sex Playlist, and we are different. Our music speaks to that alone.

Lyricist / Vocalist
Eon (they/them) is the singer/lyricist and founder of SexPlaylist. Though they’d be nothing without the rest of the band. They started singing at 8 and had a short hiatus of about 10 years before at the age of 24 they decided they needed to be creative or the were going to explode. This led to them jumping back into the scene but in a completely new genre—punk. This is their second project since rejoining the scene. Before they were in SexPlaylist they were the lead singer in CatchingBugs, a local Sacramento dance punk group. Eon enjoys long walks on the beach, singing, and fucking to music. Hence the name of the band. If Eon were writing this right now (which they definitely aren’t), they would want me to say , “Listen, enjoy, and fuck SexPlaylist.”
Drummer / Engineer
Jake is... well Jake. Jake is the original writer of both Armed and Dangerous as well as Three Chords and a Dream. He was the second member to join the band alongside Eon after Jake commented on a video begging to join the band. Jake brought demos to the group and we worked tirelessly to reverse-engineer the tracks leading to the powerful and beautiful demos we have today.
Jake has been in multiple bands, including most notably being the original drummer for Shower Breakfast and unofficial "sixth member" of Rainbow City Park. Jake was a band nerd in High School, and played Drum Set for the Granite Bay High School Marching Band.
Jake is also the mastermind behind Kohi, an internet Content Creator persona known for being very public, semi-problematic, and extremely "out there". Logan James is the lead guitarist for the Sacramento based "punk" band, Sex Playlist.
Though they may not like to admit it, this 24 year old, non-binary otter has been shredding away at electric guitar for the better part of 12 years now, out of pure love for the instrument.
They are excited to see what the future has in store for, not only for themselves, but the music that follows. <3
